Porbeagle shark
m-m-m-good eating!

Half 'n Half -
      Our most popular trip.

      Mid-July to September 30
           6 Passenger maximum

Guests target for cod, haddock and other ground fish in the morning, filling their coolers with fresh white fillets. "Racks" from the morning's catch are then used to entice sharks during the afternoon. Mako, porbeagle, threasher and blue sharks are fought to the boat using stand-up gear. Anglers bringing a shark to the boat receive a certificate detailing and attesting to their hard fought battle.

"Rack" 'em up! It's a win/win situation - if you're not the fish.

Stand-up Shark Fishing

           Mid-July to September 30
           6 Passenger maximum

Stand-up shark fishing takes place at Jeffreys Ledge or comparable area. Mako, porbeagle, and thresher sharks are delicious and may be taken home as steaks or loins. All blue sharks caught are tagged and released. A copy of the statistical record of a released fish will be provided to angler upon request.

The "Stand-Up" method of shark fishing is a test of an angler's skill and stamina. The angler, with the guidance of the captain and mate, freely follows the fish around the boat without the aid of a fighting chair. This method truly pits "man (or woman)against the monster of the deep". Sharks in excess of ten feet are not uncommon and provide the angler with stories for a lifetime. Anglers bringing a shark to the boat receive a certificate detailing and attesting to their hard fought battle.

Ready to test your skill against the mighty sharks that roam Jeffreys Ledge? (Da-dum, da-dum, da-dum....)

Giant Bluefin Tuna Fishing

            4 Passenger maximum

GOOD MORNING!! Tuna fishing trips depart well before dawn for deep water near Jeffreys Ledge. Fishing methods include trolling squid or mackerel rigs, chunking or fishing live baits. The captain and mate encourage and support the angler as the fish is fought from the security of a "fighting chair". so.....Come fish the chair.... if you dare!

If a giant bluefin tuna, in excess of the minimum saleable size, is fought and harvested, the fish will be sold under the federally issued boat permit. Legal size fish, under the minimum saleable size, can be harvested for home consumption.

In-shore striper fishing

Northeast Charter Services, Inc. has a cooperative arrangement with other Captains who will take you into prime striper areas along the shore in smaller vessels. (prices per quote).
