Can I take Exforge twice a day?

Modern world has made many things much more accessible and many things in daily life much easier or faster to be done. However, as we already know or understood, with every pro always comes a cons. In this context of the modern way of living, it has led to higher risk for metabolic diseases due to unhealthy ways of living such as bad eating habits and sedentary lifestyle. Fortunately, health information becomes more easily available and this has increased the awareness of getting regular health screening. However, damages from modern life such as metabolic diseases can only be treated with medicines such as Exforge 5/80 mg.

Amlodipine and Valsartan are included as ingredients in Exforge. Amlodipine belongs to the calcium channel blocker (CCB) drug class. Valsartan belongs to the angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) drug class. CCB blocks calcium from flowing into the cells of the heart and blood vessels. This action will result in relaxation of the blood vessel, leading to lower blood pressure. ARB is more effective in blocking the effects of a hormone called angiotensin II.  The blood vessels have been affected by the hormone angiotensin II, and they are constricting. Therefore, ARB prevents this enzyme from working in a blood vessel and helps to reduce the pressure of your blood vessels as they relax. Reports showed that combination of ARB and CCB has a synergistic effect on the reduction of blood pressure, but at the same time reduces the likelihood of side effects. So Exforge is a very good blood pressure medicine because the therapeutic effect can be achieved and there’s less risk of side effects.

Exforge can be found available in the market in a few different dosages. This is why it is important for people with hypertension to get checked by doctors so that the suitable dosages can be recommended by doctors. You probably wonder if you can take Exforge twice a day. Thus, it is necessary for patient to take the medicine regularly and to take doctor’s appointments seriously to evaluate the effectiveness of the medicine.
